THIS IS A COMMUNITY WORKSHOP- OPEN REGISTRATION

This workshop will analyze the Code of Professional Conduct for the spirit and intent of it’s tenets. We will be giving examples of diverse situations, role play, and discuss various outcomes. We will compare and analyze the Deaf perspective, what to do, and what not to do in these situations.

Learning Objectives:
-Describe various tenets of the CPC from a Deaf perspective.
-Cite examples of the interpreter’s role based on Deaf expectations.
-Analyze decisions interpreters face in their day-to-day work.
-Evaluate the impact of their decisions on the consumers of interpreting services.
