SWCID REUNION 2010
June 2009 NEWSLETTER
Here is our newsletter report for June 2009 and it was a very hot and
humid day. That is life. Lisa received a lot of mail orders for the
yearbook. It was pretty good. Also I received some of email that most
of them will pay 75.00 for the yearbook.
We are still selling the SWCID Reunion 2010 yearbook, it is cost
$75.00 dollars from today to December 31, 2009. The yearbook will have 400 pages, color/black and white, and many more.
We have three people who are very good and creative with the photos
and creative on the computer to prepare for the yearbook. We will have
to work on the yearbook on July 11, 2009 at their house because they
have technology computers and everything that they have. Some of the
committee members will get together and will come and help us as a
We did received the pictures from you and we will put it on the
yearbook. We will have many good memories to share. We did look at the pictures and the pictures are very good and great. If you want to send us the pictures. Please do. We need you. Keep sending us more
pictures– the pictures of snow skiing, dorm , sport activities, SWCID
Pageant, SGA/SBG, any event activities, and many more. Any pictures /
photos are welcome. Please send us. If you send us of your pictures
then want to send it back. You need let me know if you want the
pictures back. If you want send of your pictures on scanner. Please
welcome. We will take care of it.
We need pictures of 1980 to 1982. We need you. Please. Anyone who has any photos from 1980 to 1982 please send to us soon, thanks.
Also if you don’t plan or can’t make it to come to the SWCID Reunion
2010 next year in July 2010, we need your present pictures (
individual photo ) so we can put the pictures in the yearbook from the
past and to the present, to see how people look in their younger and
Polo shirt with logo, it will cost $20.00 per polo shirt. If you want
to send us early bird. We can accept it. Until we will be in SWCID in
July 2010 and we will put the polo shirt ready for you. We will put
www.swcidreunion2010.com and you see it if you like or not. Also we
will sell the T-shirt with three different logos and see if you like
or not. We will put it on our website soon. Still under construction..
The T-shirt will cost / sell for $15.00. If you want to pay or buy it
early so you can save a little more when you come to SWCID 2010 or if
you can’t make to come and we will mail you your Polo shirt or T-shirt
or both. You need to let us know.
Also we “hopefully” finish with combo before September 2009, we
will announce and let everyone know and we will send the flyer to
Texas School for the Deaf Homecoming booth. We will put the combo on our website and give me your email address so that we may reminder you to prepare to watch out for the combo order forms soon.
We need your “BIG” help, we need donations, boosters, and
fundraisers, for our SWCID Reunion 2010 in the future. We have too
many activities in Big Spring and we will have both kids activities
and adult activities.
If you or your organization or your company is interested to have
booth, we have forms for you to fill in blank and send us $250.00
deposit for two day (Friday and Saturday). If you need electric, will
cost $75.00. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. You are
welcome to ask. There were limit 40 tables. Please go to our website
at www.swcidreunion2010.com and click on combo, look for Booth /
Exhibit Registration Space. Click on the blue links to get all your
forms. Booth forms ( 1 cover letter with 3 pages ) Ad rates ( 2 pages
) Donations ( 1 page ).
Remember we have a donation list on our website that if you would
like to donation for SWCID Reunion 2010 and you will get some free
items. You need to look at the website and you will have to decide and
choose because there have 5 different options that you want to donate.
Let you know that we have making our Program Book for advertising. If
you or your organization or your company wants to put their ad in our
program book. We will be happy to put it there but you need to check
on our website, we have many different options and rates and sizes for
the program book and you will need to decide what options you want.

– In Big Spring, Texas, They have bowling lanes, we went there to
check it out. They have only 27 bowling lanes, a snack area, liquor
area. They have rental shoes and bowling balls. We will make the
bowling form and see how many people like to play bowling tourney
– There have three different softball field in Howard College. We
will use those and we will make the softball form and to see how many
people or team will play.
– They have disc golf at the Comanche Trail Park / Dora Roberts
Garrett park and they have 27 . We will divide if there have too many
people , we will use 18 or 17 disc golf for two days. If there is not
many people we will play either 18 or 27 disc golf in one day. We will
make disc golf form.

********KIDS ACTIVITIES ****************
We will have a lot of kid activites to keep the kids busy and have
fun. We will have a surprise for you. In the case bring the swim suit
– who know. Just in case and prepare.
********** 1980 HISTORIC *****************
There are about the first 18 SWCID teacher in 1980 but one person was
deceased. We are trying to get 17 SWCID teachers come, please let me
know if you plan to come and we want to feel welcome all of them to
come. There are 17 SWCID teachers:

We need your help, where are they?? We need them to come our SWCID REUNION 2010 for the 30th Anniversary. We will have a big event with four days from July 8 to 11, 2010 (Thursday afternoon to Sunday afternoon ).
Also the students who first came to SWCID in 1980. We need you, too.
We would like to ask you what is your first experience when you first
came to SWCID as a student in 1980. We would love to hear from you and tell us your story. Please. If you have any questions or feedback or

Remember the door is open for everyone. Ex-SWCID student, ex-SWCID
faulty/staff, fans, and high school student / vistiors. Feel welcome

We would like to ask you if you are interesting to have SWCID ALUMNI
BOOK. For example we can make the SWCID Alumni book for everyone. We can put email address, VP number, home address, and small description for example, married / single, children, job etc. Where you live. Many things to said. Please feel to send us your feedback or suggestion or advice.
